I make this post as I'm riding down highway 45 with Mom, Dad, and Shelley. We're headed home from a weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. As always we had a wonderful time way hung the races, relaxing and enjoying time together.
On Friday, Shelley celebrated her 29th birthday. As we're driving right now and I'm listening to my iPod, I am reflective of who this woman is.
My sister is incredible. A true person of her word, woman of reason, woman of leadership, and of love.
There aren't many people in this world that I respect more than her.
I've cried with her, laughed with her, hated her, loved her, been angry with, missed terribly, and even been mean to her. However, through every single emotional thing we've been through, she is the same Shelley that threw a mud pie in my fave 23 years ago.
I know most of my friends and people have siblings that are incredible, but there is sadness in my heart because I really feel like I got the jack pot.
So, to my incredible woman, Shelley. Happy birthday, love you with all my heart. You're my best friend, my sister, my other half.
